Now I officially have the bug; the travel bug.
Before the end of last year I was one of those rare sorts who had not yet ventured out of the Great Southern Land.
This all changed when South East Asia became an option.
What else could open my eyes to a different culture and way of life than the continent of Asia?
My first taste was the humidity of Singapore.
The air was thick and damp as soon as I took a step off the plane.
It felt as if someone had thrown a blanket of sticky warmth over my head.
The city is filled with beautiful gardens and a welcome cleanliness and decorations for Christmas and the New Year adorned every visible space.
Yes, the shopping is ridiculously good.
Black, sequin brogues from Zara - on sale. Uh yes please!
Escape to the Botanical gardens - a jungle getaway in the midst of the city.
A place you literally get taken to another world.
See the light shine through.
Conclusion? Singapore = beauty. Definitely need more than one night there.

ReplyDeleteThere are so many stupid things that steal that purpose from us. The stupid things that you believe a lie that we ‘re not as important as we really are. That our life isn’t as important as it really is. It’s important to the people that you love, it’s important to the people that you will love in the future, it’s important to the world around you and it’s so important that you fulfill the purpose that only you can fulfill the way that you can fulfill that.
